Ledge Early access

Find out where your gym hour actually goes.

Ledge logs your sets like any gym app. Then it keeps an account of every minute in between, live, while you train, and hands you the receipt at the end.

Free to join. One email when it opens. Or tell us what you want to fix first.

The actual app, playing a 47-minute session at 30× speed.

Every gym app counts your reps.
None of them count the minutes.

You leave with a feeling. Good session, long session, wasted session. You could not say where the minutes went. Ledge sorts every second of a workout into five states, using nothing but the moment you tick each set. It does not add exercises, programmes or motivation. It adds an account.

0:00

You press Start. A line begins down the left of the screen.

The time at the bottom of it is when you'll finish at this pace. It moves.

2:43

First set ticked. That tick is the only thing you do.

Gold is the work. The warm-up before it is lilac, and it is never judged. From the timestamps, Ledge works out the rest.

7:30

You meant to rest 90 seconds. You took 2:41.

Written next to the set, in red, while you're still on the bench. Not at the car.

30:00

Four minutes looking for a free bench.

Blue while you're moving between exercises. Red once you're past the budget you set for it.

40:00

The eye turns red.

At this pace you finish twelve seconds late, and it tells you before it happens, not after.

45:00

Last set. Done.

Now the receipt.

Push · 46:55 against 45:00

1:55 over. 7:35 unaccounted, so the lift itself was on time.

One sentence that tells you how the session went. Then where every minute went, exercise by exercise, with the note you left on each one.

Your first session is a baseline. No red, no verdict. Its receipt proposes your targets from your own numbers, session minutes, rest cap, moving budget, and you adjust them and save. After that, Ledge holds you to yourself.

Red only appears against limits you set yourself.

There is no leaderboard and no coach. The rest cap is yours. The moving budget is yours. The session length is yours. Ledge just keeps the account, and shows you the line where you crossed it.

  • Rest the time between two sets of the same exercise, against your cap.
  • Moving the time between the last set of one exercise and the first of the next, against your budget.
  • Lost anything past those. Named bluntly. In red.

Bench Press · S3 · 0:08 recorded

“Last rep slowed right down. Stay at 60 next week.”

Say it while it's true.

A microphone sits beside every set. Tap it, say what happened, and it is transcribed and saved on that set with the time. After the last set, the notes for that exercise come back as one summary. Next week, you read why set three felt heavy.

This is the app. Not a mock-up.

Everything on this page is the real thing running in your browser. This one is yours: tick a set, let the rest run, watch the rail. Nothing is saved.

Runs on the phone as a web app for now. Add it to your home screen from Safari or Chrome.
